Anyone useing something like this for there CAI?

Just wanted to know if anyone here knows the size of the AEM CAI filter inlet. I was thinking of getting one of these for my system. Kind of like a splash guard. I hear the CAI filters get dirty pretty fast and was hopeing this will cut down on my cleaning intervals. What do you think?

Well if it will fit, I dont see the harm in trying. Looks like it may help cut down on the initial cleaning, believe you me with the AEM CAI that filter gets plenty dirty and fast.

The inlet on the AEM CAI is 3 inches if I'm not mistaken.

I just thought that if i get this and turned the shield down towards the road it would keep road debree from getting all over the filter. Another question, does the left front tire kick up dirt towards the filter? See, in my head i think it would but only if i were in reverse. I ordered my AEM CAI a couple days ago and just want to have all the answers before it gets here.

I am in the market for a shield also. The injen one looks good but is a little pricey .......... I found it for $55.25 + $7 shipping. Where as the other one is $35 with the snorkel & $20 without a snorkel. Hmmmmm ...... decisions, decisions
