The assembly 051-098 is $240. The valve itself 999-050 is $90.

I also have the same exact problem as you SVT...I get 4 PSI that builds to 7 by 7K. It also works exactly the same if I remove the vacuum line and drive it. I am planning on tearing it down Friday to also put it back together meticulously. I have sent an email to moss about getting a new bypass valve, but haven't heard back from them yet...hopefully tomorrow. Also like you, my blower has been ported by Steigmeier. If I find out anything I will surely pass on the info to you as this has been just as frustrating to me for how much I have into it.

SVT~Just an update, I got a reply from Steve Mendez at Moss Motors and they have the diaphragm in stock.

"Thanks for your inquiry, We do have part 999-050 $89.95. + shipping. I hope this helps."

I ordered a new one this morning, and I currently have my blower and intake off and am making new gaskets before I re-install. Frankly I don't believe there was anything wrong with my installation...gaskets look great. I am also replacing all the vacuum lines with silicone lines while I have it apart. Let me ask the question: If there is a faulty bypass valve (diaphragm) wouldn't the valve remain closed at all times?

Yeah that's what I would assume so I didn't want to spend money on a new one for nothing.

Well, turns out my bypass valve is functioning perfectly, so after canceling the order at Moss I put it all back together...and...no change. The only thing I haven't done is a smoke test, but I don't appear to have any vacuum leak. Not sure what to do at this point. I'm going to try to get in touch with the person I bought it from and see if he has any ideas...

Was it working good when you had Tom tune it? Reason I ask is I was trying figure out what's wrong with mine before having Tom tune mine.

I put it on and Tom gave me the base map. It's only been his tune with it. But the lack of boost is a mechanical issue not from the tune.
