Trunk scratching paitn off bumper

Hey guys,

does anybody know how to adjust the trunk so it has more clearance between the bumper.
The problem is that from day 1 the trunk scratches the paint of the bumper right in the middle.
The trunk also, when applied som pressure onto it, makes a noise, like its not thightly fitted.

I know that by adjusting the lock or bolts at the top you can adjust the position of the trunk door slightly.

Anybody any ideas?

Greetz

Well, you just said you know what to do, adjusting the lock and/or latch.

Just loosin the the bolts on the latch on the car and move the latch up a LITTLE. It doesn't take much to change the way the trunk lid sits. Tighten it back up and shut it slowly the first time, if it looks better, open it and close it how you would normall close it and see the fit. If it's still hitting, repeat the process. If moving the latch doesn't work, loosen the trunk lid hinge bolts and move that. The trunk lid hinges normally won't raise or lower the lid, they'll move it fowards or backwards. The truck latch will move it up and down. Good luck.

@BagginWagon

THANK you very much!!!!!!!
Adjusting the bolts on the latch and moving it up a little was enough to solve the problem.
