Anyone? Test/Tune at Lebanon Valley Dragway!

Test and Tune's are starting pretty soon at Lebanon Valley Dragway.

Something like $25/$35 to race, you get all the runs in you can before they close.

IMPORTANT LINKS:

Lebanon Valley Dragway

Lebanon Valley Dragway Schedule

Lebanon Valley Dragway Directions

Lebanon Valley Dragway Racer Handbook

INFO: Wednesday Night Test/Tune

*Gates open at 5 p.m. for registration and the Tech/Safety inspection.

*Racing starts at 6 p.m.

*Tech is open from 6-8 p.m. (so you have to get there before 8 p.m. if you want to race)

INFO: Saturday Test/Tune

*Gates open at 8 a.m. for registration and the Tech/Safety inspection.

*Racing starts at 10 a.m.

*Tech is open from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. (so you have to get there before noon time if you want to race)

RACING BASICS FOR FIRST TIME RACERS:

*Helmets - I thought that I needed to update my '85 Snell rated helmet, but for 13.99 or slower vehicles the Lebanon Valley Handbook says that having a Snell rated helmet isn't required (a helmet is still required though, and people running FASTER than 13.99 HAVE to have a Snell '90/'95 Year Rating).

*Proper attire is REQUIRED (probably means NO SHORTS, MUSCLE SHIRTS, or FLIP FLOPS!).

*Headlights and Tail Lights must be turned on after dark.

*Track Officials must be obeyed AT ALL TIMES.

There's just a bit more, so download the "Racers Handbook" from the link at the top of this post and take a couple of minutes to read it through!

Just a few miles west of Albany, so I'm only about 40 min. or so from the Valley.

LOL, I used to make the trip to that track so often ... I could do it in my sleep!

Been 10 years now though since I've been there ...

Yeah, I was thinking more of the Wednesday Night Test/Tunes as well.

It's usually less crowded then too. I'll take a look at my work schedule, see when a good time might be (and preferably, before it gets too hot outside!).

Wow! Low 14's!

You have to have a pretty heavily modded Foci to turn those kind of #'s.

What are your mod's?

i have tom's stg 1 turbo kit, bigger injectors and MAFia, 3" catback and 3" flex, B&M sts, spec stg 3 clutch, and i just ordered a FC TB. when tom tuned it had about 200 WHP/WTQ. so ill be happy with like mid/low 14's but honestly have no idea what it will do. i can only hope. you should let me know when you are going and i will go the same night cause i will prob feel lost/confused. lol

Whoa boy! Some set up there zxt!

Definitely sounds like at least mid 14's to me.

I'll be taking a look at my schedule over the next couple of days (we have a screwy shift on the Fire Dept.) and we'll see if we can come up with a day that we both can get there.

You gott'a get that bad boy turbo on the track!

And heh, mvHudson ... where are you? We want you to be there too!

P.S. I'll be a lil lost and confused myself, seeing that it's been so long since I raced there .. but we'll learn quick enough!

Hmmm.

If it's not one of my work days, I can go basically any time.

I was going to get a consensus on the "Wed. vs. Sat." question, but so far it's a tie.

1 for Wed. ... and 1 for Sat. LOL

Personally, I don't care which day we go. But for right now, I was just planning on going just one of those days.

Any other thoughts peeps?
