If you guys would quit drooling over cars you can't have you'd be a lot happier. People keep ripping on Ford about this, but it is getting silly. People, ford is not the only car company that sells better cars to other markets (we don't have the Golf GT or the Skyline) so get over it.

In GB, the base focus lists for over $20000 US. Would you pay that for the base model? No one else would either. Profit margins on compact cars in the US are smaller than they are in other countries. Give it a rest already.

The current Focus isn't for you? Great. Go buy something else. Some of us think it's still a great car.

well to be honest even though i see euro foci daily, i still like my domestic focus better. I dont think i will ever make the trip down the street to purchase one, you make the car...the car doesn't make you.

most likely..

Ford decided last year not to make its USDM cars Euro styled - americans found them boring (if I want to buy a VW, I'll go buy a VW)

So even though there are plans for platform reunion of future Foci, it is likely they will have different exteriro styling from Euro Foci... this is a procatice common everywhere else... Corolla, Civic, Sentra are all styled differently overseas, despite riding on the same platform, and offering mostly identical interiors.
