i drive a 2000 SE. Its a 4dr sedan. It does have the 2.0 DOHC Zetec and Mtx 75 transmission...i want to swap the zetec with an svt.... how hard and expensive would this be. what all would have to be swapped with it? could i keep my tranny or would i need the six speed

Computer, intake manifold, motor mounts, blah blah blah. Try searching "svt swap" and see what you get. The svt motor bolts to the mtx 75 and the getrag bolts to the regular zetec motor.

yeah too much money for not nearly enough gain...if ur gonna have an svt engine then u might as well just buy a whole svt...otherwise put the money u'd be spending toward a turbo and you'll be putting down more power than a stock svt or even a mildly modified n/a svt

and, not to sound like an ass but this has been covered A LOT!...if you searched and still cant find anything just put "i searched already and didnt find the information i needed"

Unless you have the svt engine already on hand, you can get the same input out of the zetec with bolt-ons... The guy to get one from if you decide to do it is Jeremy ( V6focus ) ; he runs focussalvage.com. He and his brother Ian have done this swap before and he knows what you need.
