doh!! Daeron is right... I was thinking about the p1000 code, and didn't even look to make sure... sorry about that...

Yeah, definately go with checking the IAT first, then dealing with the rear (only one) 02 sensor if the fixing the fault on the IAT circuit doesn't also fix the 02 code

guys cel came on yesterday once again and it threw the same exact codes. p114, p2274 and p1111. i got the IAT and rear O2 sensors checked and they are okay. i wanna believe it's just a fluke but i'm not sure. what do you say?

what mods do you have? everything plugged in all the way? might be something that simple...from there, i'd start lookin if one of your mods could be causing it

no i haven't felt anything out of the ordinary. i was driving normally before cel came on in both cases.

other than that i sometimes feel like the engine stalls for maybe a millisecond or so when a/c is turned on and i'm driving on the highway at 80mph on cruise control. haven't felt this in daily commute though. but it had nothing to do with cel as far as the timing is concerned. i always attributed this to a/c kicking in and sucking power from the engine.
i took the car to ford service, b/c it's still under warranty and i had a few small things like fuel gauge malfunction etc., and they took a look at the car and how it drives and found nothing wrong.

they did nothing about what? cel? they cleared it and checked the IAT and rear O2 sensors.
i didn't mention stalling to them b/c as i said i assumed it was normal as it's been unusually hot around here and a/c was working all the time.

okay cel came on once again... but this time i noticed something that may help solve the mystery: cel comes on as i start the engine from cold start. in hind sight, previous cel's came on after cold start also.

as far as i know IAT sensor is used to detect a cold start. do you think persistent CEL after cold start definitely implies IAT is malfunctioning?

isn't IAT located in the MAF sensor? if i need to change IAT, does this mean i have to change MAF sensor?

if i take my car to ford dealer - still under warranty - they'll certainly try not to replace MAF under warranty because of FS CAI. altho i don't think FS CAI has nething to do with it. considering all this, i thought maybe before taking car to service, disassembling FS CAI and cleaning hoses and filters might help the situation? i'm going to have to clean filter sometime soon anyhow...
