Ford Sale: Metal valve Cover off of Contour

Item Description - This valve cover came off of a 98 Ford Contour, but still fits any Zetec. I had it bead blasted a while back and its just been sitting around ever since. Perfect for someone thats wanting to powdercoat one or (scary) polish one. I DO NOT have the hardware required to install it (the rubber gasket, or bolt hole inserts) but this stuff can be found if you poke around.

Asking/Offering Price - $60 shipped
Email Address - tobyboom@aol.com
Your Location - South Florida
Pics (if available) -

no offense, but are you sure this is off of a 98? cause im pretty sure its off of a 97 or earlier. i say this only because the design changed in 98 and mine (97) looks just like the one you are selling here. basically this info is needed because whoever buys it will need to know the right year so that they can purchase the correct gasket as the focus gasket will not work.

here is mine and if anyone has questions feel free to pm me about the install...

Well, the car I took it off of was definetly a 98.... Now whether or not it was the original engine in it or not is a different story. However, you seem to know what you're talking about so you're probably right. Do you have any pics of the 98 cover to compare it with?

You need a picture of the side to see which gasket it will need. basically I believe if the right side does not have small downward arcs then you will need to buy the contour gasket that has the downward arcs provided. I have about 6 of these in my garage. There are about 4 different variations of the metal valve cover. Some say DOHC instead of Zetec which is the most notable different variation. I need to get going on making my powdercoating booth to start making some profit.
