Boost Gauge and A/F Gauge Q's

Ok Scott (02svtscreamin) and I put in some gauges last night. We put in a boost gauge for my procharger and an A/F gauge. I have some questions regarding these things.

Boost Gauge
1. When idling it sits at around 15vac is this normal? I would have thought that it would sit at ZERO but it isnt. I have never seen a boost gauge that does this. Is there something wrong with my setup????

A/F Gauge
1. Which is the right wire on the front O2 sensor to connect to? We connected to the BLACK wire and I was just wanting to make sure that was the right one.
2. The damn gauge is dancing ALL OVER THE PLACE and there is no really I dont think any accuracy to it. Now we did connect it below the little green 02 wiring harness thing and is that wrong? Should it be like REALLY CLOSE to the 02 sensor?

Thanks for your time and as always your input is GREATLY appreciated.

nothing is wrong with your setup

your a/f meter is dancing because you didnt by a nice wideband setup.

Narrowband a/f meters are just rice

so that is normal for the boost gauge to be like that I thought that they would be on like zero or something until i hit the gas??...........And as for the A/F I KNOW that they arent as accurate as a WIDEBAND but I thought they were at least close to descent just to monitor...........but if it gonna accurate at all or it just keeps being sporatic it will be taken and and a real oil psi gauge put in...........thanks

Yup, the boost gauge, is reading GREAT. You will ALWAYS draw vacuum when at idle, if you put a Boost gauge on a NA car, you will see when u punch it the needle goes to like 0 psi of boost. Normal for a motor to draw vacuum at idle, and driving around. the NArrowband is freakin USELESS. It was pegged dead rich when i chunked a valve in my SVT, with my nitrous setup. I Know have an AEM UEGO, which kicks ass. Look into getting one of those.
