ZX3 Duratec 2.3 vs SVT

Which would be the faster car: At the Drag Strip, & at Auto-X?
Both stock, except a suspension mod on the Duratec.

Someone already started a thread just like this one. In a drag race it would likely come down to the drivers but on an autox track it would be a different story, the SVTF would likely hand the duratech it's ass lol

EDIT: I am assuming the duratech has a 5 speed. If it's an ATX the SVTF would win in both races.

This has been covered before, I just hope it doesnt start another fight.

Generally speaking, the SVT is slightly faster, if not much quicker. Magazine-race the 2 and the SVT edges the ST to 60 and in the 1/4 mile by a few tenths. They are within 10% of each other in terms of grip, again the SVT edges the ST in stock form. You'll also probably hear that the ST feels quicker because of more generous torque and tighter gearing in the low gears.

This difference is exaggerated if you're talking the pre-05 2.3L duratec, which wasn't quite as powerful.

"...but cosworth kits..." "...but stock form..." "...duratec responds better to mods... ...can add suspension..." "...SVT IZ BEST FOCUZ EVAR!!1..."
