Your launching way too low. Bone stock I cut a 15.2 in my SVT and I cut consisten 2.2 60 foots. I launched 5000-5500.

SVT's arent easy to launch, in my expierience. In my old zetec foci I ran real consistant 16.4's. Then in my SVT the first time I raced I did a 16.0, then the next time I did a 15.9, then the last time I went I did a 15.5. It's just tough to figure out how a good way to launch it. It seems everyone has a different strategy.

If I'm only 16 years old and was cutting consistent 2.2 60 foot times on bald Hankook Ventus HR IIs on 40psi of cold air, I believe my technique works.

If you launched at 3000 and bogged you were definately dumping the clutch. A big no no.

whats the altitude up there where u live. i runned a 15.94 yesturday. but im like 1 mile above the sea lvl. so at the sea lvl, (acording to some profesional drag racers) i could take 1.1 sec from my times, and i'll get a good estimate of what i can run at the sea lvl. so if i do the math im like 14.84 which i think its good.

close to the coast in texas......right above Bossier City......

5500...dayum, that's higher than i have EVER heard of.....I knoew I may be getting off the clutch too early, but I an trying NOT to destroy the car......I thought 3-3,500RPM launches were potimal for SVT's.......unless I remember wrong........

maybe I will just stick to the corners
