consumer reports

Ok.. so the anual car issue is out. All japanese cars in the top ten. Now get this...last year the focus was the only car on the top ten. The reason it didn't make it this year....... get ready.. .sit down and brace your self.... because it didn't have side air curtain air bags. Consumer reports lost all credibility that they never had with me. That is no reason to deny a top ten spot. Saftey is important, but it is getting way to much attention. The article went on to say that Ford consistently has lower problem rates for older vehicles than do gm and chrysler. This really pisses me off because so many people take consumer reports biased views as gosple and won't even consider an American brand. And I don't want to hear it. Consumer reports is biased. they choose to make saftey the #1 reason to pick a car. That is biased.

Consumer Reports sucks. I could give a damn about safety, as long as I can go fast and listen to my tunes. I been in a very bad accident in Ford Probe, and only got a cracked rib, from a T-Bone impact on my side. And I'm a big guy. I opted out of the optional SideImpact airbags for three reasons; money, complication, weight.

yea i must say, consumer reports is really crappy, i remeber when my brother was looking for a car and was looking at the focus, this was in 2002, consumer reports had the focus in the top 10, but gave it some pretty bad ratings....which didnt really make sense.

Last year it was ranked #2..behind the Mazda 3 and ahead of the Civic which was #3

We gotta buncha reprinted copies from Mazda to show anyone who came in how the 3 was ranked. For it to drop out of the top 10 for that one reason is just plain stupid.

lol chill out why are you offended? i don't really care what position the car is in why does it matter to you especially if consumer reports is stupid like you all are saying?

i haven't read this specific article but it doesn't really matter you just told me what it said "the focus didn't make the top ten because the side curtain air bags". if you think consumer reports is a bunch of sh!t, then why do you care so much about the focus not being at the top?

BTW, i get the full auto consumer reports magazine every year it comes out! i know what consumer reports is about

Agree Dragon....from a dealer stand point, the Focus has been one of our most reliable cars that we sell. One of the worse is the Lincoln LS.
