performance specs with powerworks Vs. Roush turbo

hi,

i was just wondering about the times that i would get from a powerworks and the roush turbo on a stock zetec motor with exhuast? 0-60? 1/4?

I'm not sure how anybody will be able to give a decent answer to that. Times are always going to be very driver and conditions dependent. If your a lousy driver you'll have lousy times no matter how much power you have. Same kit, different driver/conditions and times can easily vary by more than a second.

I'd suggest doing some researched into how much HP and TQ each kit can make and look at some dynos and learn to read the curves (peak numbers are only a fraction of the story).

There is plenty of info out there on these two kits. Its all been discussed time and time again.


[edit] just to give you something at least... I've seen Powerworks 1/4 times from mid to upper 13's to the upper 14's. An average driver with average conditions on an average track could probably be consitent in the very low 14 range.

Wow, tough call.
I have driven both kits on foci, so I can say I liked them both quite a bit. Neither kit is a monster, but they both make good power and make the car ALOT of fun. The powerworks kit seemed to be tuned a hair better, but the power was about the same, maybe a hair more on the powerworks. Maybe.. It was a year or so between the two drives!
By comparison, the Rousche kit was tuned very well for a turbo, it was smooth and made good power, it wasn't insane or out of control, just nice and quick.

Its funny, about the only boosted option I haven't driven on a focus is one of Toms kits, and they seem to be the best engineered ones out there ( though a little more pricey than those other two , but something else to look at as well )

I have installed, dynoed and driven both. Either setup works very well. The turbo is easily upgraded. The PW kit makes more peak whp and more power until about 3000 then the RT makes a pretty good jump from there until 6500.

You have the advantage on me there ^^^ You had them on the dyno. I have just done test drives in both. I agree that they both work quite well and I would be happy with either one.
