I've read through this whole thread and noticed that you guys didn't mention the MimoUSA Headers for the Focus. Any opinion on those headers??? Its a cat delete header. But yeah my question is what if I put in the long headers can't I just install a Cat-Back exhaust system and keep it legal. I live in CA so yeah gotta keep it legal, if not at least quiet.....lol

The first time I heard of this header I was on this site:
www.autoaccessorystore.com

-go to performance headers and you'll see the brand MimoUSA

Also I have found the site:

www.MimoUSA.com

it should be easy to find online.... but yeah thats about it.

Do you need a flex pipe to connect the long race headers to the cat back exhaust??? Or should it all connect easily?

if ur state does a sniffer test then u need a cat...the cat-back exhaust is just an exhaust system that is installed from the cat back to the end of the car...u will still need a cat to pass emissions

i read through most of this thread and i have some questions

im interested in purchasing new Headers and High-Flow Cat except im not sure what to get.

i saw MAC headers that say gains of 5.1whp and ~9lbtq... doesnt sound to bad for 250.

does anyone have any opinions on the MAC header?

and how much gain do you think the SVT header/kit would give you? price? and is it emissions legal?

is there any way of having a race header and a hi-flow cat? or would a shorty/hi flow cat/flexpipe/catback be the best combo....

the closest thing is the svt header with high-flow, but if you got a race header that deletes the cat you would have to have one welded in somewhere, possible but annoying. shorties are so similar to the stock that they really arent worth the money to most people.

5.1 hp and 9.2 lbs torque doesnt sound to bad by MAC, and for just 239, it doesnt seem like a bad deal. are these numbes correct? are you saying that shorties wont really increase it like this? 5.1/9.2 doesnt seem to bad to me...
