Blaupunkt speakers

So I bit the bullet today and got some of the Blaupunkt Overdrive speakers. i installed 'em and took a test sound. These are 'posta be really good speakers. These things ratlle more that my stock speakers. I was hoping for a little more bass punch. Didn't happen.

Here's my setup. I have a JVC KD-G210 reciever. I lknow it's a cheapo, but I don't really need too much. I just wanted something that I can hear well. I think it has 30 watt to 50 watt amp. You can change the amp gain thruogh the...well you know.

With the stock speakers I would get the 'click' from the bass when I turned it up towards full blast. With the Blau's it just rattles. I really don't want to go the big amp route. I was wondering if I need to get more power to it or less power. I'm thinking that if I put in an amp, the sound will just get worse, am I wrong on this?

The Blau's do sound really good at a medium volume though.

I haven't replaced the rear speakers. I think that when I do, I'll just do two ways.

I listen to mostly 80's type music on CD. Four on the floor big sound type stuff. I really like to hear the double bass drum type things. I, as a drummer in the O' so distant past and like to hear my music from that perspective.

I'd really appreciate some help on this.

And yes I put everyrthing back together tight just as stock. Nothing is loose.

the cheapo h/u is most likely the culprit, because it most likely puto out less amps that the speakers can handle. if it was doing that with the stock speakers, even though it was a different symptom(spelling) the speakers might not be getting enough power. what is the rating for the speakers as far as watts goes? amplifying the speakers doesnt have to be an expensive ordeal, because you arent powering woofers, and the power needed is much less.

could possibly be the head unit, but more likely...better speaker=better bass output=more vibration in the panel...solution---sound deaden the doors to reduce ambient interference. If you power speakers with a seperate amp (assuming its decent quality) it will always sound better because the sound is being delivered more efficiently and with better quality. Check crossover settings and sound maximizers to see if the way they are set is causing some distortion. Blaupunkt does make a pretty speakers, after all they were the first company to make an aftermarket amp. Good luck

It is the fact that Blaupunkt makes bad products. I don't know who told you those speakers were good, but they aren't. Blaupunkt hasn't made a decent speaker in years.

It said on the box that they can handle like 200 watts. I didi do some reseach prior to purchase and they sounded like a good bet.

Does anyone have an alternative?

I can always return them.

Maybe Kenwoods...? 2-ways

How could I sound-deaden the doors without filling them with foam?

dynamat makes a sound deadening mat, that you appy directly behind the door panel. no foam required

I may do that. I hate having to take my doors apart again though
