I wish I'd read this before I bought my bomz intake! As I was installing it, the issues of ambient heat and dust kept plaguing me...thus the focussport intake sounds perfect for me! Now I have to either find an airbox or fabricate one, but oh well, my baby is worth it.

The only question I still have on an intake is this: Does it void your warranty?

Your warranty will only be voided if the malfunction is a direct result of your aftermarket modification, and that won't happen as long as you feed your maf into the intake and reset your ecu...after you complete the installation, disconnect the negative connection to your battery and reconnect it after five minutes. This way your ecu will "learn"of the new intake.

That was great. W/ the Cold Air one though, I do want to add something to it. If you buy a Splash Shield, the Air Filter will not get dirty as quickly, also the splash shield keeps your car from getting ruined by having water splash into the enigine. I drove my car all day in the snow/wet street and had NO PROBLEMS @ ALL!!!!!!!! Its great. I have the one that Ray Sells w/ the SVT Snorkle/ Rain Cap on it. its really good. cost me like 30 bucks. And my intake I got Brand New on EBAY for 35 dollars :)

I installed a MAC intake and the top of the filter hits the fiberglass crap on the underside of the hood and I have been told that it will start to suck the fiberglass in and screw up the motor. I can see where the fiberglass is starting to get into the filter. Should I Just take that crap out or cut a hole in it or what. The bracket in those intakes is just a little too tall.
