Ok so the focus is going out to the track on friday. not for time purposes but for bragging rights against my friend. but i need some advice to get the time down. The car is in the process of being striped you know no backseat or spare tire, jack or that stuff. but what else can i do to get a faster time thats quick and easy and moderatly cheap. i have till friday night to do it.

well it might help if you would list what you have done to it already...

go on a diet, take off all the doors and trunk

launch at 3200rpm
1st -> 2nd at 5500rpm
2nd -> 3rd at 5200rpm
3rd -> 4th at 5200rpm
4th -> 5th at 5000rpm (if it happens)

if you stock you should run a high 15 like 15.8 - 15.9

^^^ yeah, and if u have a SPI, i doubt you'll be in the 15s...

make sure you get good reaction times...always look at the lights. bad reaction times make your time slower. the first time i went to the track i had horrible reaction times which put me in the 16's

reaction times have NOTHING to do with your times
everyone thinks that it does
ive sat there at the line at the local 1/8 mile track before and pulled a 3.2 second reation time,and then ran 10 flat..
