Same here, except I probably won't be adjusting it, I love it on the lowest setting.

Dang it, I stripped the edges on my shift knob. Any ideas on how to get it off?

Vice grip that thang. might be harder to do if you already installed the cfm. maybe clamp the old shifter down.

I found out that the bottom of the stick was hitting the black plastic bracket that is under the metal bracket. I had to dremel the side off that it was hitting. now I have reverse. As for the old STS, I got the knob off, but it looks like I stripped off the bottom threads on the inside of the knob on the shifter. Oh well. It's in; I'm happy, and it's great. I love it. Thanks Hector for a well made product.

What we've found is that some SVT Focus have the selector cable adjusted a little different between vehicles. The cable is adjusted by the plastic piece at the end of the cable that snaps on the transmission linkage. This plastic piece has teeth that hold the adjustment and it seems some SVTF are adjusted with a one or two tooth difference which is causing this problem. It has a very simple fix, which is to have someone hold the shifter at dead center (or slightly over to the right) while someone is pressing the release button for the adjusting mechanism. The correct one is the black one with the orange button (If I remember both had orange buttons but it is definetely the black housing).

If these instructions are not clear enough please let me know so I can work on them. Glad you got everything worked out! Enjoy!

Well damn, wish I would have seen this thread last week when I made my purchase. Would've saved me $30!
