I'm getting ready to do this and I just have to buy the LEDs. What would be the downfall of buying them on Ebay??? I need to know the sizes and specs of them before I order, cause the ones I see on there are about $5 shipped.

I didn't look at any of the specs when I got mine. I don't know if it makes a difference but mine work fine. I bought 50 for 9 bucks shipped. Just make sure you solder them in the right way.

The green film is not on the back side like in your speedo and odometer. Its on the front underneath the icons that you see. I'll tell you what I did. Buy some wideband 74 style leds and just replace the 74 bulbs that are in there. I think you need 4. I did this and it shines right through.

They may be fine for the small lights, but don't use them on the gauges. The beam is too small and will not light up the whole gauge. I used 10mm in mine for now and the brightest spots are where the bulb is.

Hvac knobs and gauges use 194 and 74 style leds. Everything else needs to be soldered. By the way, the headlight switch was the biggest pain for me. I suggest getting a spare to work on so you don't screw up yours.
