I think I just discovered it has 6ch plus mono sub outputs. Meaning it should do a 4-way setup. Holy crap!!

I was planning for an Alpine DVA-9861 + PXA-H701 combo, but this is an all in one unit for a lot less money. I have to seriously consider it.

With all that it claims to do that unit should cost at least $1000. Honestly, i don't think it will be that great of a unit, especially at that price. If a good 30-band EQ costs me $450, how can the one built into a $500 HU be any good?

They've been using it at eD, there are about a dozen units in the US being used, I saw a post by a guy in TX who likes it, and it has been in a number of SQ competition winning systems in Russia.

Of course a lot of guys are very skeptical, because the price of car audio equipment has gotten out of control. But as computers go, the prices come within reach.

It's basically a computer with a CD transport and internal amp that can be turned off.

What 30-band EQ are you referring to? For that price, I assume you're referring to something digital, like an H701, H900, P9, AC ??

A few questions to clarify a few things (quotes by an ECA member)

I'm not sure if I understood you right, but if you meant the hardware limit, then the answer is that the outputs are not limited. They can output the full-scale signal.

The crossover frequency range is not limited.
All the channels are interchangeable. Crossover frequency step is 1/12 octave.
The level on pre-outs may be adjusted either from 0 to -infinity or from +12dB to -infinity (depends on the device settings, user selectable).

There IS a 30-band left and 30-band right Equalizer. You may adjust them either separately or synchronously.
