Here is my Tamiya WRC Focus. This is as close as I could come to and SVT body. The lighting is kind of bright and doesn't show how dark the Blue really is.

Just the 540 that came with it. I just wanted to get it done. I have a 14turn Quad and a 12Turn Double that will break something so I have been kind of hesitant.

hey bro that thing is awesome... just one question...how fast is the 540 motor? i read somewhere it could do 30mph but thought that was impossible with an electric motor.

i may get a focus rc one day.....so i can beat the crap out of it all day.........pray for it. hehehe

The 540 is dog slow. I am use to 40+ mph motors. And oh no it is not impossible. The 12T double I have in my stadium truck right now will do it.
Much like real cars it is all in the gearing. There is a spur gear that is attached to the motor and a pinion great that is attached to the transmission. With the right setup these things can be hella fun.
I'll find old FoodLion parking lots or high school stadium parking lots and race along side cars driving down the road. Really puts things into perspective.
Now I also have a gas car that will go 50+ but those parts are a bit more expensive!
You can get into RC for about $150 with a Ready to Run kit.(already assembled) However you don't get the experience of building it or familiarity of the parts for when they break.
I am sure all of us can find something Focus related to spend $150 on instead but this makes a great past time.
