how much power are you hoping to get out of it when your all said and done? i was looking in to an ATX to MTX, but i have to many "activities" i would participate in in which a manual would really be a down side(
) so yea, i was wondering cause if the numbers the tranny can take improve enough, i would do this as opposed to paying 4k for a lentech auto............. let me know thanx.

As it is now, I could turbo and get the tuning done up to 5-7 # of boost. I want to try for 200-210hp, so I'd need to do the Alto kit and the torque converter. After that, it'll be able to handle whatever I throw at it. So, another grand and I'll be able to run her hard and not worry. To date it's the trans I was worried about, not the engine.

thats good, so i'm guessing after the alto kit and the tc, you'll be able to push near jeff's range? or higher maybe? keep all of us(especially me

Hmmmm, never considered that. Could be, but I bet if you bought from Lentech the price would be lower since you wouldn't have Fords markup. The guys at Lentech are MORE than willing to talk to you about what they're doing, especially if you talk the talk. Chris and I had a great convo for about 45 mins. Super nice guy and knows his trans!

Nah, the price appears similar (right at $399 from Ford) for the valve body and I can supposedly just pop over to Ricart or Jegs to buy one (or special order) if it is made by Lentech, (I'm guessing it is from the picture alone but I could believe FR would "rebadge" a Lentech)
BUT, having a knowledgable tech on the end of a phone line is worth the cost of shipping in my book (which seems to be the only one I read......).
