new svt owner
Just picked up a Focus SVT today. Its a 2002 silver, completely stock with 25000 miles approx. Got a killer deal on the car so it was just too good to pass up. No regrets for one sec, though i only got a ride home in traffic and in the rain and in the dark so didnt really take charge with it too much, but tomorrow should be a beautiful day along with getting plates, because I cant use his plates all day.
The car just grew on me really fast, car lounge definitely helped me out in the choice of this sucker, went through possibly every SVT thread out there. Dont care that its not the fastest compact, all i need is something that can handle around a track and im content. Im going to stick with the stock suspension till i get a good feel for the car then drop new tires, coilovers, sways, ect. In that fun order. For the past month or so ive been on this site just looking around getting all the info i could out of it for the svt purchase. Just wanted to say thx and now i have reason to post, lol. Ill contribute what i can. And after coming from a mk4 gti and two corrados im happy to say i own a ford now after what those cars did to me. Hopefully this one treats me a little bit better than the latter. Now here are some pics. Comments welcome, lol. Any advice apreciated also.

welcome!!!! wow im surprised you made the move from VW to Ford...i usually hear about people making the transition the other way around....btw how much did you pick the car up for, just curious....

The car was in a small accident and when the headlight was replaced im guessing the grill was replaced with a ZX3 grille, no worries, ill find an SVT grille. No rush. Im just looking foward to driving it tomorrow. Picked her up for 9k flat.

if you want to liven up the exhaust, check out my thread on the orp install. im from jersey so i know about the emissions laws up there so becareful if you go that route.
