Double Din LCD Dvd Player WIll It Fit?!?!

Latley I have been quite facinated by the look of the flush mounted double din lcd dvd/cd/mp3 players. I think they look fantastic but i see no pictures of foci with them installed.

My question is: Will a double din lcd head unit fit inot a stock focus console?

I am specifically looking to install it in my 2001 focus sedan.

Thanks

Scott

you can still have the tv in your focus. like i tell everyone asking, it can be done you just need a different install kit. in this case use the double din mount kit for a 95-01 explorer/mountaineer.

info found here, look about halfway down, he used the install kit to install 2 single din stereos but the idea is the same.

Its not 1.5 DIN. Its about a 1.8 DIN. A double din can fit with some trimming done to the dash panel. Its been done by a few people here, every now any again you will see the panels for sale on e-bay that have been shaved already.

i just did mine today.....

You need to trim the bezel, top and bottom lips. You also need to cut behind the bezel some.

I took pictures along the way. Im thinking of writing a how-to. I took me 35 to put in.

(i am pro. installer for 5+yrs)

you should do a how-to, i don't think there is one on this site for double-din install on an 00-04 focus.
