I have to add another $855 in transmission repairs, mainly because I had no choice but to take it to a dealer and I'm now out of warranty. There was a 3/32" connecting pin in the shift linkage that goes into the gearbox that snapped, resulting in the shifter not being able to select a gear.

There goes my GD suspension money...

hmmm....well on mods I'd say about $100 or so for driving lights. I don't think I'll be modding it much more than that. It's just a daily driver for me. I'm putting my mod money towards my Pontiac Fiero.

let see, ill include the previous setup also. and all these things were pretty good deals, or used.

17x7 konig rated r on 235/40-17 $1300
215/45-17 falken azenis 480
H&R coil overs 1200
udp 70
short shift 75
headlights (parts and materials) 75
p&p head, stg 3.5 cams, header 1000 used
aem cai (death of motor) 200 used
act clutch/pressure plate 325
borla 2.75 exhaust 275 used
momo rs2 club racer seats with brackets 400 used
apc cf hood 300 used
2500 mile block, eagle rods, je pistons, total seal rings, arp main studs, arp head bolts, billet main girdle, clevite bearings, oil squirters, balance and blueprinting by pete kutzer race engines, garrett gt40r turbo, custom exhaust manifold, custom intake manifold, custom 3" down pipe, return line fuel setup, twin walbro 255lph fuel pumps, 750cc injectors, tial 40mm wastegate, greddy type r bov, quaife lsd, custom 24x12x2.5 intercooler, all charge piping, sct tuning, dyno time and labor just at $9000

so that brings the total to around $14,700. this does not include the previous paint work, or the evoIII body kit and hella fogs, which hasnt been on in a LONG time, guages, and all the other little miscellaneous stuff that goes into a project this large.

i bought the car brand new in 2000 for EXACTLY 12,995.37 with tax title and liscencing!

when the car is totally done and being driven (its been 11 months since ive driven it) it will go into the paint shop for a fresh black respray, new cf hood (the old one de-laminated), svt bumpers (front cut out for the ic of course) and some other little things to bring it up to 100% while still retaining its sleeper status.

ill never sell it, ive been in love since day one. even if it is just an upside down bathtub with a turbo.
I'm not nice, here's the truth for 85% of you, listen up. Everyone is too nice to tell you your cars sucks, focus your time and money on performance/handling and your car will look good. That simple. Neon lighting anywhere sucks, no matter what.
