Pipercross filter cleaning

Stupid question here. I could not find any instructions for cleaning Pipercross filters. I have a
Venom intake. I am not entirely sure on the proper procedure for cleaning them and how often
they should be cleaned. I am assuming that they are cleaned like most reusable filters, I just want to be sure I am not missing something. Thanks everyone.

Clean it like any other filter and you should have gotten oil in your kit. We have cleaning kits as well.

Cleaning of Pipercross Air Filters

The cleaning of a Pipercross air filter should be carried out as below. Failure to do this could result in damage to the air filter or even the vehicle.

·STEP ONE: Remove excess dirt by gently brushing the filter.

·STEP TWO: Apply cleaning additive (C9003 or C9000) liberally. Massage in with soft brush. Allow to soak for around 5 minutes.

·STEP THREE: Flush the filter out with warm water from the clean side of the foam to the dirty side.

·STEP FOUR: Allow the filter to dry naturally (do not apply any heat to the filter!!)

·STEP FIVE: Lightly apply dirt retention additive (C9007 or C9001) on the dirty (black) side of the foam.

Steps two, three and four may need to be repeated until the filter is clean. Do not over oil the foam as this will cause a lack of performance.
I copied this from the leaflet that came with my Pipercross Viper Induction Kit from Ray @ McNews I clean mine about every oil change (roughly every 3000 miles).

Cheers!

Check it periodically. Depends on where you drive. Some may need cleaned sooner than others.
