That is why I would like to know more about v6focus's setup, he had stated ford uses a 6v pulse on the dsi in the svt, that vacuum actuated one sounds much more safer and reliable, my car is a daily driver so reliability is key.

i don't have dyno numbers yet but I feel the difference. And yes my focus is a daily driver. i wouldn't of done it if i thought it would not be a solid upgrade. I just drove 180 miles on Sunday and no problems. If that gives any help.

Give Dan at SVT SALVAGE a PM, He has a detailed list of parts needed and can qoute a price relativley easily. He was very reasonable with me I will tell you this now. I didn't have any prior business with him and yet he still treated me like a good customer and friend. And beleive me I am much happier for doing it.

Update:

I have been getting fairly good Fuel mileage, atleast good enough that I can't see any loss in MPG.

I now also have a new part for the Setup. I have been running a stock SVT TB on the setup and now have a ported TB to throw on. I am sure to see some great response from it, maybe not HP but good response.

I happen to still have my FC65 TB sitting around and wanted to compare them and all I can say is that DAN and DOMINIC at SVT Salvage really do nice work. I believe Dominic actually makes these with a jig for very good fittings of the Fly and what not.

But ckeck it out:

If anyone buys a ported TB from SVT Salvage they will definitely get there money's worth....

I will let you know how it turns out after the weekend.

I'm confused

So does the SVT manifold make a HUGE difference over the 00'? I'm going F/I soon and wanted a new manifold until then, but reading this thread I'm not sure if the SVT is worth the xtra costs.

Nice mod focituner! Sounds like a bit o' work and funds, but I am sure you are appreciating the DSI more and more as time goes on.

Homegrown, the major difference you are probably going to see is that your car will pull steadily to redline, whereas before you start to loose that pull but your rpms are still climbing. Thats where the runners in the dual stage intake come into play. Its optimizing your air current to better suit the rpm range you are in.

Stock on SVT tune, the runners switched over around 6500 or so, with Waynes tune and probably others, it will switch over at 5k. You can even hear the difference in the engine tone when it switches over. Its nice having that extra oomph up high, believe me.
