fast Duramax

I work with this guy that owns a 2004 or 05 duramax he's got some chip in it and he said something about them being stacked or something. He always brags about how fast it is but we never raced till today i beat him untill lilke 60 then pasted me . He always said his 0-60 was so fast beacuse he lanches in 4x4. I konw that you can make diesel motors crazy fast I think theres more than the chip done to it, i think he had common bolt on it exhaust, intake but im not sure. he was talking about doing a new turbo kit cause someone in a turbo escort beat him.

he prolly had the EDGE stacker...it is like a piggyback chip they put on them. Duramax's are nothing. His prolly runs high 14s, maybe mid 14s. Cummins and the all time best - Ford's Powerstroke Turbo Diesel are the monsters. My dad has a PSTD 6.0 Long bed, Crew Cab, and he has had it at a 13.3 @ 102 with, intake, exhaust, and a SCT tune. It is RWD, so he had slicks for that run, but still wasnt launching right. SCT is the best tuning for the diesels, once it comes out for the Cummins and Duramax, they will be right where Ford is probabaly.

actually my dad is an SCT tuner, and has tuned many of the same truck and hasnt had any problems...he has a 2004...the 2005s are a little slower because of intake differences, I think. But his tranny is awesome...your dad must have one of the few that have had those problems lol.
