bent tie rod

So i was taking my friends home from my house tonight, about 1100. there was some snow on the road, and was hiding some ice. i wasnt going that fast, but i went passenger side first into a curb. as far as i can see the tie rod is bend, and my steele rim was bent. not really to much of a problem, i'll just straiten the tie rod, and get a new rim. But here is the odd part. after i hit the curb and the engine died, my ECU started playing some song. not like full blown, but like different single pitches if that makes sense. and no it wasnt a cell phone i checked all the phones in the car. i put my ear down by the ecu and i heard it comeing from there, does any one know what this was?? andy answers would be great. thanks
