!Hi! and A Couple Questions...

Hello everyone!!!

I am 18 and happy to be an owner of a 05 Ford Focus ZX4...
After looking everywhere, and no credit, ONE ford dealership gave me a great deal and a super low APR.

Ive never been better, I love my car...

SO, I do have a couple questions. After driving my focus for a few months now, I have a cracking noise in my driver seat. It usually makes the noise around corners ect.. but its annoying. Anyone else have this problem?

Also, it looks like the paint is chipping around a rear wheel well.. Would this be an under warrenty fix?

And, my speakers are getting worse. I like loud music, but just wondering if the stock speakers would be a warrenty replacement? Its a long shot, but I thought I would ask.

The last thing is that when it rains, and it rains alot in Seattle, the engine gives off steam. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for everyones help!

congrats on the purchase and welcome to FF.

I don't have any problems with my seats, but I do think that the speakers should be covered by the warranty.

And about the steam, I haven't noticed, but I would guess it's normal.

Hey welcome Hetrain!

I live in the Seattle area too, and if you are a bit more discriptive of the when, where & how's of the steam you're seeing I'll look for it myself and post back.

Hi and welcome to FF ! Congrats on your purchase, too

My seat "creaks" on occasion, but seldom enough for me to bother with getting it looked at. As far as "steam" I'd have to say thats just typical - moisture hitting a hot engine is going to produce that on any car, really.

Thanks everyones. The steam is a normal thing in the rain, usually when I turn the car off....

Yes, the seat "creaks." It does alot!

I have my second oil change/tire rotation on the 12th, so I think ill have the ford people take a look at these issues....

Also, I posted under the general board, where can I find bodykits and things like that for an 05 ZX4? I also have seen older zx4's with the back emblem trunk key bar colored to match the body.... Does anyone know where to get this? Thanks!

I would definately make ford do something about the seat. You might have a broken weld or some seat structure defect that will wait until your 500 miles from home to collapse.

Or just rip it out and throw a bean bag chair in there.
