Unhappy Broken Driver's Seat

My drivers seat for my '03 ZX3 has broken on the metal frame support around the back and is now sticking through the fabric and jamming me in the back.
I talked to my local dealer and they said they have never heard of this.
I am 6'3" and 285lbs is this too much for these seats?

Any suggestions on where I can get a salvage seat...local yards dont have any.
Or even racing seats if they hold my weight and are cheap.

Or is there a way to make Ford replace this out of warranty. Just seems a bit ridiculous for the metal to break in under 2 years. And I have been the ONLY one in the seat at one time. Never any extra weight on seat at same time as me

LMK

Thanks

Shaylor

If you still have warranty it's covered. If not, it's out of your pocket.

I had the lower portion of my driver's seat break causing the support rod to go though the fabric. It was replaced under warranty. If they are saying it's not under warranty, they are lying to you.

I have put 86,000 miles on it already since I drive for a living, so it is out of warranty :(

I know the feeling my car came with seats out of a lx so I had no way of getting into the back it took alot of driving to find a junkyard that had the 2 door seats and the only ones I found were still broken only the passenger side works I guess your going to have to do some searching. good luck

I've got a grey fabric'd 03 ZX3 driver seat at home if you wanted it. I have no idea on shipping cost though. It's available if you'd like, great condition, no smoking, etc... that funky "C" pattern.

Or I'd contact Jeremy (v6focus) with Focus Salvage, he's a little closer, so maybe shipping is cheaper to TN?

With that kinda mileage the warranty's definitely shot, and I'm dumb about racing seats so I'm not sure what's available that would work for you.
