well, the biggest thing i noticed about the noise was if i wasn't useing the rear cargo cover it was way louder than if it was rolled up.......

and i went ahead and put some Dynamat under the rear cargo carpet ( since it was basically just painted metal )

now with the cargo cover and the Dynamat it is the difference between night and day to before

Really ? ^^^ I have never used the rear cargo cover in my car. Put it on the shelf right after we bought the car... I find the road noise acceptable in my car..I do have an extra layer of carpet in the rear due to building a box back there. I agree some dynamat couldn't hurt back there as it is a big slab of sheetmetal, but I agree, for the price, the focus wagon is hard to beat.

Nice to see the wagon owners coming out of the woodwork!

Most of my noise is coming from the front somewhere, and this might be a 2005+ issue more than a wagon issue. Ford did some goofy things to make the old doors fit on the new nose. I'm thinking about documenting my sound insulating of the wagon... possibly a good "How-To" for people who need to remove their headliner because I think I'll have everything out except the dash at some point. I'm also considering an undercoating that I've had some personal experience with which is now available online--- this stuff is not just good for sound and imperative on a turbo install IMHO. http://www.metalshield.com

I am sensitive to the road noise issue and am pleased to say that it is not bad in my 05 wagon. I have lots of hiway travel with it too. I agree that maybe you've got something funny with yours-- mirror, trim piece, etc that is adding to it.

Well, I don't have a wagon, BUT they do look pretty sick when done-up.
If any of you wagon owners want to upgrade, check this out! It's for sale!

OK.. how many gauges does one wagon need? I see they have the SVT dash installed in that one, and also 2 gauges on the pillar... and what's up with the gaudy aftermarket tach on the dash?

Smooooth job though, love the kit, I wish F2 would come out with their widebody RS kit before I put a turbo in my wagon so I can have wide tires.

Too bad I don't have deep pockets

Yeah definitly the guage on the dash is too much! But they have a supercharger in it, so I guess they have the two pod ones are SC related.

I believe the kit is a one-off they made just for that car, but I think they are now producein them for sale.

Yeah, I almost bid on it when it was Ebay a while back, I just figure it is too impractical for me..

The FR230 has the SVT swaped into it. Tim Ballie did a lot of work on it. including the system.

I agree that the Focus wagon is the best wagon in the price range.

So guys do we unite.

Tim
