I own other fast cars and I am actually prety happy with the focus zetec stock power. Mines a 2001 with 215,000 miles for 1100.00 but needs a iac valve but runs great

Loaded, too - leather, moonroof, 6 Cd changer, 16" alloys. A shame......

Won't be getting another Focus. Want something a bit nicer. Still used though, and probably something wagon-ish.
So is the 2006 HHR you replaced it with any nicer? Personally I have had loads of trouble with high end GM cars so i can imagine the low end cars. Not trying to jinx you but just be aware.

It just takes a little longer to get there.
I thought all wagons had the se package with the zetec engine?

Yes it is. Rides much nicer (FE3 sport suspension); quicker, and gets better gas mileage. Only thing I don't like about it is the very wide A pillars. You can literally 'lose' a whole car behind them when turning, let alone a pedestrian. Got it last november with 30.5k on it. I have 62k on it now. Only extra noise it has is a small squeek in the rear suspension in the AM when it's cold (stiff bushings, probably). Oh - it's got satellite radio too.

I went in with my eyes open. I did my homework. I'm not necessarily brand-loyal, just been in Fords for a while lately though. Wife drives an '03 Explorer.

I am glad you have had good luck with your HHR. I like the looks of trhe HHR much more than the PT Cruiser. Continued good luck to you and enjoy your car.

I've had Focus wagons from the beginning, and before that, an Escort wagon. Current one is an '06 in Liquid Grey, fully loaded, and problem-free. Perfect for my needs. I'm still hoping the new one will be brought over--Red Candy, please.

I just snagged a wagon! Finally! I have been looking for one for months on craigslist.

2002 Black with only 60,000 miles. I sold my 2000 Focus SE today and will have my wagon on the road Tuesday!
