Cool, a thread for wagon owners. I have a Red 2000 Focus wagon SE. It's fun to drive, and I think it feels like a long, lean, sports car the way it handles. It is a bit lacking in power through, so I wanna turbo it when I have some money. I'm thinking of getting the FSWerks Zetec turbo kit.

Mine is still going strong at 175k. I'm not running it every day now but I'm keeping it. My father passed away a few months ago and I have his car now, a 2005 Sable with only 27k on it. I still need the wagon as my pickup truck!

HAHA! I use mine the same way...It has so much room...Too bad I have a rough idle issue...No DTC's that I can see but I can't find the problem! I just replaced the PCV w/both hoses, and the lower radiator hose - have yet to clean the IAC so perhaps that's the ticket...oh well...I still get 25MPG and love the room! Gonna replace the wires and plugs and do tranny service, but otherwise she's in pretty good condition at 97K! We'll see how she goes!

You guys have the Zetec? I'm impressed at the mileage you guys are getting. Most of my driving is going to be 2 miles to school and back everyday, which I know is bad on the engine so I don't expect to get that much.

I have 130k on mine. No major mechanical problems so far. All my problems have been cosmetic. I have loose door guards on the driver's side, and the one in the rear on the left side is bent up because of a stupid friend of mine. Some (I know who he is) I work with intentionally dumped brake fluid on my rear hatch. I dented the rear hatch 6 months after purchase, and somehow the lift gate got cracked.

Other than that, it's fine. I'm going to work on getting the offending parts replaced this weekend.

Have an '05 SES that I use as a commuter car that I got six months ago. It has just over 64K on it now. I have a couple issues with it relating to general small-car 4-cylinder issues (my previous vehicles had V6s and I got spoiled) and the legendary mushy Ford brakes of the era, but otherwise it is a fantastic car. It has no major mechanical issues, the interior and exterior are in very good shape, and I got it for a quite reasonable price even despite the high interest rate on my loan.

I still can't get over just how tiny the thing is on the outside yet how cavernous it is on the inside. Having a car that is barely larger than a hatchback that is classified as a midsize vehicle due to interior volume is rather unique. When I move I won't even need to rent a moving van since my largest item, a futon, can easily fit in the thing.

On the to-do list are an audio system upgrade, window tinting, and if I can find a place to install aftermarket parts for me, a brake hose upgrade.
