Thumbs down Wings West Customer Service

Hello all. This is my story with Wings West. I have a pretty big crack in my SVTF bumper and decided to replace the OEM bumper with a new one. I REALLY like the Wings West WRC bumper. So I found a local dealer here in Indy and we placed an order for the bumper in mid September. We were told that Wings West had been bought by another company and they were transitioning the new administration in to the company. Because of the transition, we were told it would be two(2) weeks before the bumper shipped.

Three(3) weeks later; My local dealer called them and the bumper had not shipped. Even though he was and still is listed on the WW web site as an authorized dealer, they sent him a new packet of documentation that he had to fill out to become an authorized dealer with the new company.

A week later he finally received the documentation. They said they tried to fax it over to him, but his fax machine was not working. Funny thing is his fax machine was working for everyone else who faxed something to him. Once received, he filled out the docs and faxed them back. He was then told that the bumper would ship that day.

Two(2) weeks later, still no bumper. Local dealer called to find out if it had shipped. No, it hadn't. WW said that they lost his dealer package and asked him to fill it out again! So he did, and refaxed all of the docs to WW and was once again told the bumper would ship right away. A week later he was told that the bumper had shipped and given a tracking number.

Last week he called again and the bumper was still in the warehouse! He bought the bumper with a credit card that is in his business name, but the bills go to his home and not to his business. So WW would not ship it to him at his business. Only no one called to tell him this. They were apologetic and said that someone should have called him and advised him of the situation. He was going to have them ship it to his house. He asked the sales rep for some concessions (maybe a discount on the bumper or the shipping) since I have been waiting nearly two(2) months. WW said NO! When I called WW they told me the same thing. So the local dealer cancelled the order because he does not want to work with WW again. I still wanted the bumper, but he advised against it because if we are having this much difficulty getting the bumper, what will happen if it needs to be returned for any reason? I thought that was a very good point. WW offerred to sell me the bumper directly, for an additional $147 the price I got from the local dealer.

My local dealer completed $70k in sales for WW last year and he says he will not buy anything else from the new company. So I have to say good bye to my WRC bumper. I am posting this so that if any of you decide to deal with WW, you do so at your own risk. It appears that they don't care about customer service just the $$$.

Man that sucks pretty bad. I hadn't heard anything about WW since the takeover, I just remember they were transitioning. That's really unfortunate.

Well, there's always the F2 wide- and normal-body kits?

They take orders and have the kits drop shipped from WW. I called them and they aren't sure when they will start selling WW kits again.

Stay away from wings west. We *were* a dealer of theres. We took orders for the WRC kit and drop shipped them. That wasnt really a problem getting them to ship; the only problems were slow shipping service, lack of customer service(trying to get tracking number), nobody ever answers the phone.

So we get our first bill from our credit card company they over charged us $400.00 and wouldnt refund the amount so that it would match what we were quoted. We filed a dispute with our credit card company, long story short WW lied saying there is no such thing as a dealer discount and we lost money....

isn't it VIS that's running the show?
