Powerworks Supercharger install

Hey fellow Arizonians,

Anyone have experience installing one of the new PW S/C's on an SVT?

I have checked the directions on the website, but I am a sub-novice wrench (read: still working my way up to changing my own oil), but am a fast learner with a positive attitude about learning new skills.

If this is your thing, I am debating about this option, and have gotten some reasonable but still VERY high install quotes. I am inclined to DIY as a result.

Let me know if you'd like to share your skills, know of resources, or can recommend an install shop as a last resort in the Scottsdale, Tempe, or surrounding areas.

Thanks in advance for your responses,

Lil_Silver_Rocket

It sounds like you've described yourself fairly as a 'sub novice'. Don't even consider attempting this install on your own. I'd even be very reluctant to do this install with a newly found friend for a helper. If something happens and they can't help you complete the project, you are screwed.

Pay a mechanic to do the work. A self install gone bad is going to cost you even more.

I agree with DePue on this one. It's not like its putting on a catback or even springs for that matter, but forced induction can blow your engine if not installed right. So take it to a shop. Congrats on FI by the way!

Any new news on the install? I really hope that it's not still sitting in your garage! If so...what's your address? haha...jk. Can't wait to see some pics or something. I really want the kit, and any additional temptation might just push me over the edge.

Hey all,

If anyone is a whiz at problem solving with this kit, particularly leaks in the oil filter relocation plate connecting to the engine block, I may have an issue that requires more insight. I have a solution from PW to try, but am wanting to line up more assistance as a precaution in case my installer and I can't resolve it

Hopefully, it will be up and running in the next two days, but...

If you're a master (or close) at these installs, drop me a PM.

Located in Cave Creek, AZ.

Thanks in advance,

Lil'-Silver-Rocket
