Never run a quarter test in my car, i dont really have a way to do so unless i roll up to the california speedway. Ive drivin plenty of cars, i also own a 1987 buick grand national. And that sucker is fast. Problem is i cant park it anywhere cause it is a hot item for car theifs and its easy to steal. Also its an old car, so stuff like the ac doesnt work, and its alot to take car of. Ive also driven my dads 92 super charged notch back 5.0. Which drags at around 12.8 on street tires. So i know what fast is, and i know what slow is. And why the hell would my freind let me win and in doing so screw up his tranny linkage?

I'm sorry but a stock Hyundai Elantra couldn't do low 7's even if it was being towed by an Lamborghini. I agree with kaminari_croc either you've got more under the hood or He can't drive it.

Unless his svt is broken I find it hard to believe .
So basically your elantra is faster than the new tiburon 'cause I beat a friend of mine who owns one (3 out of 3 times but it was close). Maybe if I get those Denso plugs and the k&n filter I would be in viper and 911 turbo territory.

hmm something is fishy. a while ago (before i had my exhaust) i was hanging out with some friends. they have a saturn and a elantra. they had raced earlier in the day and hte saturn beat the elantra. so the dude in the saturn asked me to race so we found an isolated road behind my neighborhood and i beat him by at least 3 car lengths up to about 90, which i assume would be more against the elantra. maybe you bought it used and the previous owner installed a jet engine.

Seriously though, I'm wondering if your friend's car has traction control. If it does and he launches it wrong he could engage the t/c which kills your 0-60 time. Even with the t/c button turned off it's not defeatable under 30km (~16mph). The best way to launch the svt with t/c is to release the clutch slowly while @ ~3200rpm, it takes some practice.

hey Korean. Just to let you know, you cant do 130mph in an elantra, nor can an SVT Focus with some mods outta the factory, so thats just BS. I might be wrong with the SVTF gettin up to 130, but ya know, in the real world, its hard for a sport compact to hit 130.

I touched 135 in my 03 SVT. Then I remembered I was driving on snows...Not rated for that kind of speed. Anyway, it was still accellerating at 135.

Sorry, my SVT is bone stock and I live in the real world.

SVT goes faster than 130.
Koreanman - you should go to the track & take your friend with you. The only way I'll believe this is if I see the numbers. It just doesn't make sense.
