Just North of LA) and I drove to 29 Palms (thats 50 sum miles north of Palm Springs) to the Marine corps base over all 1 way is 160 Miles. And then imidiatly back home after picking up a friend, and I will proly see 400 miles out of this tank, im at 330 right now and have more athan a 1/4 tank left its sittin right between 1/4 and 1/2. So im like whoo hoo. All I have done is FS Intake and FS Stealth Cat-Back

I have put a total of 19,873 miles on so far, 80% highway. Best tank was 32mpg, worst was 26mpg. Average has been around 28-29, a long way from the stickers 34mpg rating. It has been getting a little better lately, but that could just be due to the current warm spell, or break-in. I also had the ECM updated to cure a hard starting problem last month. The mileage got a little better.

Overall, I average 24-26 mpg with 70% highway and 30% city driving. With 90% highway, I average 26-28 mpg without traffic. With traffic, I usually experience a 2-gallon deduction. The best I have seen is 29.8 and that happened once during the summer

I usually see about 32-33 mpg. Last tank I got 36 mpg. I mostly drive highway and my car is a manual and has right around 14,000 miles on it. I think the worst tank I got was 29 mpg.

It's really amazing what a huge variance there is between different people and their cars. I know they say it's dependent on several factors like driving habits, etc, but jeez, I still wouldn't have expected THIS much variance, especially between people with the same model and year vehicles.

Mine is a 2.3L PZEV Automatic, with careful right foot in slow New York traffic I manage to get slightly more than 20mph -- this thing sucks fuel during slow traffic and winter warm up!!

Somehow the story changes on the highway, I get 33mph @65-70mph.

Well keep in mind, for however long you're "warming up" you're getting 0 mpg. And of course packed traffic is never good- unless you're a hybrid with regenerative braking of course.

I'm currently getting about 22-23 MPG in mixed driving, which is a heck of a lot better than the barge of a 1989 F-150 SuperCab 4x4 that was my daily driver but nowhere near the ZXW's advertised 26 MPG city estimate. The car has about 2900 miles on it as of this post.

Maybe it's the hilly route I take between home and work. Wound past 3000 rpm in third gear, that bone-stock Duratec just loves to flatten hills even with the additional "baggage" of the wagon body; I just may be paying the price of fuel for making use of the torque and horsepower peaks.
