Whoa, I have personally seen someone run similar times but that is a bit slow, What RPM are you shifting?? That trap speed is way too low. I ran 15.7 @89mph bone stock<< Best time of 3 runs.

You should definately be running faster than that, a lot faster. Either your car is sick or your driving is

ok yeah i know my times were a bit slow but i also needed an oil change and a new filter so that should help the engine run a bit smoother. but ide launch at about 2.5 and then shift at 5.5 but this was also my first time to drag my car so my teqniques arent exactly pro style

You definately have to ream balls a little more for a better time. My car just bogs at anything below 3500, and the svt's peak horsepower is right before redline.

My best times come with the fuse for the traction control (and ABS) pulled, with a rpm's north of 3500, and shifts at about 7100 rpm. It's a fine line between spinning my tires through 1st gear (and moving about 20' down the track) and spinning them for 4 or 5 feet, hooking up and hauling butt. I've run from low 15's to low 18's.

no its called you have no balls..you have to go to the track knowin that your gonna tear the hell outa your car..powershifting, wheel hopping, burnin rubber, chirpin gears, bouncing the rev limiter...you probably didnt do ne of these things..there are automatic SPI's that run better than that man...granted the svt is not a track car, but neither is a ford explorer and they are runnin circles around that time, did you even floor it? just keep practicin man...hope springs eternal
