Mine's fixed. But, it's a built engine...starts almost as soon as I turn the key, every time.

My 05 has started doing this like everyday now...every other crank....I'm almost positive its my plugs needing to be replaced. And the fuel pump makes a noise when I first turn it to "on" position....so I think a combination ofthe cheap stock fp and the plugs not getting enough spark because of age.

I've got an 07 with a March build, and mine has the the start issues.

IT happens now and then, all I do is cycle the key from "OFF" to "RUN twice after it wont start and it will go every time. I replaced my fuel filter and spark plugs and it all seemed to help the issue but its is not gone.

I always give it a moment in run to charge the lines before I fire her up.

My '05 2.3 cranks and cranks and won't start. This happens once a week - or so.

If I pump the gas-peddle and it starts. It seems to me it is not getting enough gas.

I worry about pumping raw gas into the cat, though.

Does this long crank effect 08+ models? My car will occasionally do this and the worst part is, the car will crank until the motor is running, so I have to listen to the starter kick over for about around 10 seconds for the car to sputter into life.

Is there a milage limitation on this? I have an 05 st. And it does this some times taking as long as 20-30 seconds to start up. No check engine lights nothing. Has new plugs, fuel filter every thing. Just doesnt like to start.

FWIW, my wife has a July 07 build 2.0 manual Foci and we did get her the TSB at 35k which seemed to help, but still happened just less frequently. After installing a used Marcy CAI, it has helped tremendously. Wonder if the stock airbox crappy assembly is adding to the issue?
