Not to be gloomy, but we all love and respect the focus. As I have seen from other people, they dont have our same kind of enthusiasim. Who in america, besides us, is going to pay much more than 20K for a Focus, or any hatchback? Sorry, but i dont think it would sell very good. Very sweet car in my opinion, i would pay about 23-25K for it. Anyone think we could start a group buy?

you're on drugs if you think ford would only charge 15-17 for it
You're on drugs if you can't see that I priced it at 20-23k, and if you really think that is luxury quality interior. Learn to read, then make comments.

Time to wake up from your lucidity.

Just so everyone knows, here are some highlights...
ST comes with bluetooth technology, voice activated climate control, and GPS navigation. It has recaro 10-way adjustable heated seats, heated front windshield, MP3 player and Xenon headlights. 6-speed transmission, folding side mirrors, 4-piston brake calipers up front. Keyless ignition and doors (and I'm not talking with a remote control). And there's a 4-dr option.

that's more than you'll find on any north american model BMW below 40 thousand dollars. so if that's not luxury, what is?

See that's part of the problem. Unless Americans undergo a radical change of mindset before that comes over, it will Not resemble its European brother.

Because Americans, as a whole, see the Focus as the bottom of Ford's lineup. Efficient, small, cheap, get from Point A to Point B. MOST people wouldn't want a Focus with heated windshield and all those sweet gadgets (unless it cost the same as the current ones, which makes no sense).

So my guess is, if/when something like the ST comes over, it will be watered down and "Americanized" to be a little tool-around car, not a majestic beast like this is. It's sad, because I would like access to something very similar to what's shown above, but I'm not sure Ford would be willing to take a gamble on that, at least so far they haven't stuck their necks out relying on an American interest in a sporty compact hatch type car.

You're talking features, not the actual interior, how about you go and look at then interiors of a lexus, bmw, or infiniti, then look at the interior of the ST. It is not luxury, although it looks better than the standard focus interior, it comes nowhere near the quality and elegance that a luxury car would come equipped with.

Audi A3, Subaru Wrx( yea yea they say its a wagon....more of a hatch to me) mazda3 5 door

Yea but i get what you mean, over in europe the focus is like a top end car, and probably would never be accepted as that over here. Would be nice to see though, but i wouldnt pay any more then 25k for it, throw in awd then maybe alittle more.
