Wyoming, Yellow Stone G2G 2006

Wyoming G2G
We will be takeing a nice long cruise down HWY 14. winding roads, well if you made it to the Mt. rushmore G2G you know what I mean. Next a group shot by the faithful. Then pool side fun and entertainment. This is the assembly page for the G2G so give the details of what you guys would like to do on the G2G and well get the ball rolling on this. things I need to know are

Month able to attend
days able to attend
Events intrested in
party plans
Cruise routes aside from hwy.14
Side plans

My idea month is June
2 days, Head out on Friday, meet on Sat and cruise, meet on Sun get pics and head home around 6:oopm ish.
Events, open
party plans, Ummmm pool side, drinks, water, What could go wrong.
side plans, pot luck, picnic, kick some tires, show off the new toys and trade stories pool side with drinks.
did I mention Party.

Let me know who can make it and suggestions to make the event a little more than the party poolside with drinks and 3 hours of Hwy.14 winding road with switch backs, hairpins and finding what you car can do.

I'm assuming you're talking in the springtime?
Unless we're all renting snowmobiles?

We were just down there a few weekends ago.
Got video, but haven't posted it yet.
Even recorded Old Faithful going off!
We're down in Yellowstone at least 3-4 times a year, so I'm pretty familiar with attractions and lodging.
West Yellowstone is much cheaper than staying in the park itself, and there's more to do for nightlife.

BTW, I still have the map I made of a route from Sheridan, WY.

Off topic...
You really need to respond in the following thread:

Great, send me what you got and let me know what the hot spots are. I was planning on meeting in Sheridan on Sat morn and then cruiseing to Yellow stone and getting pics there and staying somewhere in the vescenity and enjoy the night life ALOT. <<< Rough year. ......

I responded, thyanks for pointing that out. For some reason when a person responds to the Sway bar sticky I dont get an email notification. I used to but not any more. I didnt change anything on my end. Is there something I can do about that? Oh and when I get a PM i dont get a notification iether any more.

No idea.
I've got the same problem, and so do a lot of other people.

Coolness!
The more the merrier.
Yellowstone is such an awesome experience.

I'll post up on the Northwest forum as well with a link back to here.
Maybe we'll get a few more folks to join us.

And, just in case you missed the last G2G, (which most people did, and it was FAR too long ago)
Here's a few of us other "mid-west" folks ...>>>Clicky

And, ShadyR as you are well aware, I have to check next year's AutoCross schedule.
All the Montana regions should have their schedules out by the first of the year.

An Auto-x would be great. Whats the useual entry fee? about $30 or something in the area. Numberd doors this time around, No more numbers on the glass. I can profesionally hit a cone.

auto x would be sweet. But im not really down with the stickers on the doors. Ill prefer them on the windows.

Stickers on the doors?
Nooo!
I use magnetic material, with vinyl cutouts for the numbers stuck on the magnets.

Anyway, the AutoCross schedule comment was basically to see which weekends I had free.
Closest events to Yellowstone would be either Bozeman or Billings.
Both of those are a couple hours drive time from Yellowstone.
Billings is a little closer, but neither would be "on the way home" so to speak.
Well, it would be for me (Bozeman), but not any of you.
And I highly doubt you all would drive to Helena, even though we have the best facility in the State.

While I agree, an A/C would be GREAT, it'd take up an entire Sunday to attend one.
