raceheader + your exhaust = what noise

hey all, would like your input on those of you with race headers on your foci and what catback system or brand that you have and what sound it makes. deep tone etc mine sound like brrrbrrrrrbrrrrrrrr none of that lol. Seriously...I have the fc 4-2-1 race header and the magnaflow catback and it sounded nice untill i put the header in...now its loud and annoying and ricey. I see others with the same problem so just wanted to see what everyone prefered with the race header. Ive been dirving with this thing for too long now its time to change it so what sounds good with it?

I read somewhere a while back that someone had that setup with a focus sport stealth resonator and they said it helped tone it down, also from what I'v read you will probably want resonator with headers and a catback anyway so personally I would go that route before buying a new catback exhaust. I am planning on doing the magnaflow setup with race header and the focus stealth resonator, but it will probably be a long time because I dont have a lot of cash right now.

You'll probably find that most opinions are something along these lines. My focus with FC header and flex + single-muffler magnaflow = OMGZERs RiCe

yea, your gonna end up spending more money than you care for trying to tone down that setup with a magnaflow...i have a highflow cat on mine and it sounds good till about 4k, and then bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...stick with a stealth exhaust, apexi n1 or svt borla(built in resonator)

http://media.putfile.com/FordFocusfullExhaust if this doesn't work try this one http://home.comcast.net/~kenpokid/Vi...ullExhaust.wmv

Mods are in my Sig. It only buzzes when the muffler is cold, goes away after I drive the car for a little bit. I personally would have gone with the SVT Borla.

I my car sounds nice with the borla. Deep tone down low and in the upper ranges it keeps a low pitch as well. Of course the SVT header which most will probably tell you is near the best while staying legal. I do plan on running a hi flow cat in the future, so i can comment on that later.

I dont have much of a choice for exhaust because I have a center exit valence so I have to use the center exit borla exhaust. What kind of header is anti rice but still a good bang for the buck?
