About SCT2

Hi guys!
I purchased SCT2 from MM. It has 3 programs( octane 87, 91, and 93)
My car is a stock car( 2005 ST) and it doesn't have special mod.
Can I choose the octane 93 program and use octane 93 gas for better performance?
Or it will have side effects? Please give me some advice!
Thanks you!

If you have access to 93 octane fuel, then by all means use it (if you don't mind paying more). I'm sure there's a few hp there to be gained. I don't see why there would be any negative side effects. Fuel economy would change...

i havnt seen 93 octane anywhere around here. I cant even get 91 in my home town. all we have is 90, so i have to buy a stupid bottle of octane boost with every tank. Lucky me !!!

We don't have 93 where I'm from either, we have 87 89 91 octane. I think I will get the 87 91 and 93 files though, so I can have fun when I want to. I don't drive my car far, unless I go on a long highway trip when I need fuel economy, in which case switching files wouldn't be bad

What's your altitude? If your lowest available octane is less than 87 it may be because of the altitude. If you are in a mountainous area, call MM and tell them your altitude and ask them which program would be appropriate for the octanes that are available where you live.

only side effect i can see is burning out a valve or 2 but if saleen is running 75shot N2o then 93oct shouldnt hurt it . i also have a xcal 2 an i have done some data logging pretty nifty stuff .
try it an see how your car talks to it self, what its thinking, whats new that its goin to try next to try an give you the best preformance with the best fuel econamy.

have fun :P

Thanks for you guys' responses.
I think I'm lucky to have 93oct to use. My living area is very flat intead of mountainous.
Because of your opions, I have confidence to use 93oct for my ST.

P.S. Did Walter release new program for data logging? Please tell me how to get it.

I think about 3 months ago. I ordered it by phone.
Dont worry about it dude. I checked MM website for you.

I found the news as followings.

"We will be away from October 27 through November 7 attending the 2005 SEMA Show. We will not be available to answer phone calls during this time. We will be checking emails only during this period. Orders placed online will ship when we return starting November 7. Thank you."

Please be patient. You will feel worth it after you have that device.
