Yeah with the ST170 grille you need the surround because it's designed to fit that particular grille. If you detach the surround, it'll look ghetto haha. Oh and I already have a European air deflector for my grille, bought it from someone in Greece a couple years back. It's useless though because I have an AEM Cold Air intake setup

Oh, so it's only for the ST170 grill, and not the facelift grill? And I don't suppose you would sell that deflector now would you

Yup surrounds only fit ST170 grilles, don't bother buying a separate surround because you need the ST170 grille.

And performance-wise the deflector is useless, but it looks too sweet coupled up to my European grille haha

Hahaha, i know its rather useless, I just don't like having no plastic between the grill and rad support. I would settle for the regular euro one if I could find one.

I think I managed to "fit" the US air deflector to my Euro grille at one point because I too was sick of looking down into the empty void behind the grille. It helps a lot too if you have a hood lock. Baah I forget what I did already, was too long ago

I had the US one for a while, but it made the grill pop out. That and it had those goofy bumps for where the US grill attached to the rad support.

Oh, I've been thinking of redoing my LED 3rd brake light. I have access to supplies at school, so I was thinking about etching a board and drilling it. All I really gotta do is come up with a design and make sure it's gonna work lol!

Maybe you can make a custom board for me haha I can pay you for it. I'm just worried that with my clear 3rd brake lense you'll be able to see the board inside

I doubt you would be able to see the board. The board is fiberglass, so when it's finished etching the board is an off white color. I can also make it a single side instead, so that way the side you mount the LED and other components on can be painted silver or something.

What amount of LED's do you think is suitable? I have 16 in mine and there's lots of space in between each LED. But I also want enough space somewhere so a voltage regulator and two capacitors can be mounted.

Oh and I got the 27th and 28th off. If my brother let's me stay with him I'll fly up.

How many bulbs are in the stock brake? Do you think adding the same number of LED's as there are bulbs in the stock unit would be brighter overall? I don't really want to blind people behind me. That's what the rear fogs are for hehe

There's 5 bulbs in the stock brake. And I don't think my setup is that blinding, it just seems a tiny bit brighter than my other brake lights.
