oh now I see the shape haha. I haven't opened up my tails in a while so I forget what it looks like back there. Aren't LED's usually just plug and play? lol I hardly know anything about LED's

They sell plug and play bulbs, but for brake lights they're rubbish. They're good for maplights and plate lights though!

I think I can fit 16 LED's on there, but it's gonna be a bitch to solder all that together lol!

How did you open the tail lights? I don't wanna bake it, so I was thinking either the boiling water method or the heat gun method.

Oh wait, what I meant by "opened my taillights" was I removed the bulb holder from the back of the housing lol. I've never "cracked" them fully open.

I found this a while ago on how to reseal tail lights here

SHould be the same for oem European tails

I should just try boiling water or a heat gun to be safe. It looks like they just pried it with the screwdriver or something lol

Cy, would you be interested in my European locks? I just bought a new set on ebay UK.

Things you might wanna consider about my set first:

1) It doesn't have a spare key (too lazy to figure ask and find out who makes Tibbe keys)
2) It needs a trunk and fuel door tumbler

I just checked this morning, and someone had a NIB tumbler for a Saloon boot lid on eBay.uk. Lemme know if you're interested. I might put it up for sale in the B-S-T section later. I'll give you first dibs since you're closest to me

Funny you should mention that. Last week I found a guy selling an entire set for the saloon including the trunk one and fuel door and 2 or 3 keys. I have the seller bookmarked at home.

Do you have the number cut for the key? If I have the number I can get spares.

I could never get that number figured out! I remember reading somewhere that there was a way to read the notches on the key itself. I can get a pic of my key for you if you want

Oh and I do have the Euro tumbler for the trunk (just checked my crap box), but it's for a hatchback. The tumbler rings inside can be transfered to another tumbler

I'll probably look on ffoc about it then lol. I was gonna tell you about the set, but I figured you already had your set and probably weren't looking for another one xD

How much were you looking for for your old lock and tumblers? And how you dug out the transponder chip lol. I tried on a key from another car and shredded it to pieces

Problem is I only have one key -_-

You have the lock tumbler for the hood catch too right?

Also got my LED's in! I'm kinda confused about it's ratings though. Forward current it's rated at 40mA but the pulse current is 100mA. I think I should just run these at 40mA...
