actually, in person the body kit looks good. what do you think? right now i'm looking to get a steeda SRI, exhaust(possibly borla). then go with either sct or predator tuning. those are at the top of my list for now. going to keep it NA, don't want to mod too much.

the prior owner, or whoever macgyvered the intake, keeps me scratching my head. the factory MAF tubing was modified to fit on what appears to be an aftermarket TB. there's no indication if it is aftermarket, but the tubing was cut lengthwise, zip tied onto the coupler, which in turn is zip tied on to the TB. a k&m like cone filter replaced the factory air box. i mean, why keep the factory tubing when putting the intake?

who did your exhaust? i usually go to ESH...

I like the factory SVT skirts and rear bumper with the diamond grille diffuser...but that's just me lol. Nothing wrong with the one you got ;P

As for your intake, most Focus intakes are expensive..not worth the price for what little gains can be had from them. That's probably why the previous owner jerry-rigged his. I paid almost $175 for mines (and $114 for my 60mm throttlebody), and I STILLL barely feel any difference lol. I also have a Magnaflow catback exhaust w/ custom 2.25" flexpipe. It was a bolt on installation so I was able to do it at home. It's got a nice tone to it and a nice burble after you rev it. Again, not too much difference in horsepower, just a bit more noise.

Lastly, yes I did my HID install myself. Everything on my car was done by me, except for my misc. paint jobs. I figure, I might as well do it myself, and learn something new in the process. Check out my sunroof too if you ever spot my car. I did that back in 2006, and still no leaks!

where did you buy ur parts from? i can do intake myself, under the vehicle, i don't have the means necessary. as for the sun/moon roof, i already have that option. so i don't need to butcher for now, though i used to be a cook by trade. haha..

your HID's, was that the whole housing assembly, or just the light bulb conversion itself? did you have to get any special wiring/harnesses?

i like the svt rear fascia myself, but the svt skirts doesn't give enough of that svt look. IMHO...

anyway, job well done on your DIY mods. maybe we can do a 2 car focus convoy one of these days. LOL! sounds like an oxymoron...

did you ever get dyno'd?

I got all of my parts from eBay. No cheap chinese knockoffs, all genuine stuff (I was lucky back then...nowadays it's hard finding good parts there). My HID's are factory headlights built by Hella, installed on some 2003-2004 SVT's, and 2002 Mach special editions sedans.

If you wanna do a cruise, I have one posted on the ffch.yellowfocus.com website (my SN is innarakku over there...). Hopefully the other guys can make it.

And no, my car never was dyno'd, nor do I think it's worty of being put on a dyno. I have the weakest motor in my Focus (the sohc SPI)...110 HP, good for getting from point A to point B veeeeeery slooooowly

Wow there's some activity actually happening in this thread.

As for SVT sightings, I always see a black and a red one in the Aiea area. There's also a black 5-door SVT that I randomly spot on the freeway too.

I see a few yellow and silver ones in the Honolulu area.

There was a orange SVT EAP that I always see in the Waipahu area. But I haven't seen that car anywhere ever since the owner sold it.

I only know of one blue SVT that I always see parked at Pipelines during the day. It has OZ Chronos on them for the longest time too.

I haven't seen Bumblebee on the road whatsoever. $10k for a salvage titled Focus? You gotta be kidding me!?! WTF happened to the car anyway for it to be a salvage title? I'm thinking the horrendous paint job is the reason why it's a salvage title. That paint job itself is a violation and infraction.
