Does anybody from Hawaii Fanatics ever meet up or go to the drag strip (legal) together? I live on Oahu. I've never been to the drag strip but want to start going. Where is it at? I've just heard about it.

I live on Oahu too. We have no drag strip. It shut down three years ago. I know Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island each have one. Luckily I was able to take my Focus out to the 1/4 a few weeks before they closed.

No problem bro. And im teling you now, that svt intake is gonna be loud lol.

the season is supposed to start again pretty soon. i might go for fun, and to get a baseline 1/4 time.

yz04, did your hvac come in yet? oh, and im getting those glossy black window trims off of a zx5 svt. paid $50 shipped for them.

If I'm gonna get the HVAC, might as well go the whole 9 yards and get the panel with the clock too lol. I used the yahoo babelfish website to translate my English into German...haha pretty mean. Hopefully he understands it.

haha, yup. thats what ive been doing too. there was the black woodgrain one on ebay a while ago, i shoulda bought it!! oh well.

theres also the mk1.5 complete armrest somewhere on ebay.

dam, that blows. Why did they shut down the drag strip? Was there an accident or something? You know this island is getting more boring every year. Too many laws and regulations.

Did you guys know they want to pass a law that states you cannot smoke in your condo or apartment? Even if you don't smoke that's a bad thing because all the police have to do is say they smell cigarette smoke coming from your place and have the right to enter. If they find anything illegal your dust, including an ash tray. Oh and that's pretty much the same thing for the proposed modified stereo system law. "We heard loud music coming from your car so now we need to search it".

Just another way to control the population.
