Question I need condenser installation directions.

I've been trying to find some directions on how to replace my a/c condenser, (which was injured in a very unfortunante run-in with a raccoon) on my 02 ZX3, but met with little luck. If anyone has any tips or good links, I'd be mighty appreciative!

well...first question...did the racoon cause a nice leak and vent it to the atmospere?...if yes i'll go on. if not, do you have a recovery system or a way to evacuate the refrigerant?

The most frustrating part of it all was that the raccoon got away with it. And also, there is no such thing as too much Strongbad....

*edit* There were no leaks anywhere as far as I could tell. I put it on the lift and checked it, the only thing really wrong was the bent condensor. I wasn't using the a/c at all when the raccoon and I collided, but as a precaution I did drain it.

ok...remove the rad. unershield, disconnect the lines. remove the bolts from the radiator support bracker (2 on each side). then disconnect the top condensor mounts and unclip it from the radiator (please put this in a flat area, it may be funny to bust one of these but its not fun to pay)

thats all...should take about 20 minutes or so. just remember to add 30ml of refrig. 134a mineral oil to the new condensor...then bring it wherever to have the system recharged with dye then checked for leaks. have fun

No offense population, but if you have to ask you might want to leave it to the pros. Replacing the condenser is pretty easy but you'll have to have the system vac'd and recharged. I guess you'll save a few bucks on the labor though.

Sorry population, I didn't read your question carefully enough. I would definitely replace the accumulator anytime you break open the system or drain it for a length of time.
