SVT Piston/Rod Options

I suck. I ran my car without oil (due to a hole in the filter, which I obviously did not know was there) and now I'm in the middle of a rebuild. Apparently I need to replace three rods.

As I understand it, I can only go all stock or all aftermarket. I'm looking for a reliable daily driver of the unboosted variety. Can anyone help enlighten me to my options? Are there performance gains with different pistons, or what's the differences I should look for?

Thanks for any help!

boost or not, SVT rods & pistons will work just fine for DD reliability. dont bother with aftermarket.

does any one make a stroker kit for the SVT? i know in the 2.3T world you can stroke it out to 2.8L or 3.0L if you have a ford racing SVO block. any ways just thought i'd put my $0.02 in

why does 0.3L not add much power? or is there a bigger stroker kit? I was thinking ( i know not good ) of doing a stroker setup with a CR around 13/14 to 1 ish. running it on E85 and one day trowing aturbo kit in the mix running E85 (maybe when someone puts together a 50 state legal turbo kit)

with the higher CR one wouldn't lose to much fuel economy -If you stay out of the boost- and it should have grate low end off boost power

but hey what do i know I'm just a TurboForder trying to go NA for a time, until I get out of school.

well if you can justify 1800 bucks for about 10 whp, its up to you. i'm sure you can get more, but don't expect to be anywhere near 200 whp
